HireRight GSA EPLS Check
The HireRight United States General Services Administration (GSA) Excluded Parties Lists System (EPLS) Check identifies individuals or organizations that are excluded from receiving federal contracts and certain federal subcontracts, assistance or benefits. The GSA is required to maintain a government-wide system with records of debarments, suspensions and other exclusionary actions by the federal government including records from the GSA, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and more than 60 other government agencies. Completing this important Check will ensure compliance with federal regulations and prevent participation in certain federal programs from being jeopardized.
Maintain Compliance
The federal government is required to review the EPLS upon receiving proposals, opening bids, and prior to awards to ensure contracts are not issued to listed parties. Therefore, the HireRight GSA EPLS Check can help an organization ensure compliance with the requirements for receiving federal contracts, federally approved subcontracts, or certain types of federal assistance and benefits. Additional regulations surrounding participation in federally funded health care programs such as Medicare and Medicaid require performing the HireRight OIG Excluded Parties Check in conjunction with the GSA EPLS Check.
Common GSA EPLS Check Uses:
- Identify potentially excluded individuals or subcontractors
- Ensure access to federal contracts, assistance, and benefits
- Verify a candidate’s claims of employment eligibility
